Bureau Valley High School

Welcome to Bureau Valley High School!!  Our High School is located 5 miles North of Interstate 80 residing directly on IL Route 40.  The school is the home of 480 students in 6th - 8th grades from the South end of the district and 9th-12th grades from the entire district.  Bureau Valley High School employs 30 Certified Teachers, 1 High School Counselor, 2 High School Secretaries, 6 Kitchen personnel, and 4 custodians. 

Bureau Valley High School offers many academic opportunities for our students.  Students have the academic opportunity to take dual credit classes through Sauk Valley Community College, AP math and English classes, and vocational classes through Whiteside Area Career Center in addition to our rigorous High School Curriculum.  Bureau Valley has also adopted an academic philosophy called BVision2020.  Our goal for every student will have the opportunity to seek college credit, career certification opportunities, in addition to earning their high school diploma.

Bureau Valley is a member of the Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC).  Since the districts formation in 1995, Bureau Valley athletic teams have brought home a State Runner up( Football 2004), State Championship in Football (2005), three straight 3rd place State finishes in Boys Basketball (2000-2001-2002), and a 3rd place finish in Cross Country State (2004).  Bureau Valley has built successful student athletes that have furthered both their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate levels.

2/8/18  It is Bureau Valley High School's intent to collaborate with the Regional Office of Education in hopes to qualify for the 21st Century After School Program starting with the 2018-2019 school year.
