Bureau Valley provides breakfast and lunch each day for all students in Kindergarten through grade 12.  Bureau Valley participates in the National School Lunch/Breakfast Program.  We provide nutritious, hot meals for our students.

Your student’s lunch balance is available by logging into www.teacherease.com.  If you have trouble logging on to the website, please contact the building where your student attends.  Money can be added to your child’s lunch account by sending a check or cash with your student.  Staff members are available during breakfast, before school, to accept payments.  Breakfast and lunch prices for the current school year are as follows:

Lunch Prices:

Grades  Full Price  Reduced  Alternative Extra Milk
 9 - 12  $2.25  $.40   $1.00
 K - 8  $1.75  $.40  $1.00 $.30

 Breakfast Prices:

Full Price $1.25
Reduced $0.30

Students who reach a negative $5.00 balance in their lunch account will be given an alternative lunch for $1.00 or an alternative breakfast at the regular breakfast price.  (Students who qualify for the Reduced Lunch program will be charged the regular reduced price but will receive the alternative lunch/breakfast.)

The alternative lunch includes a cheese sandwich, fruit, vegetable and milk.  The alternative breakfast includes cereal, toast and milk.

The student will continue receiving alternative meals and will be charged the alternative price until the lunch account has been paid.

Students with negative balances will not be allowed to purchase extra milk or a la carte items.

There is assistance available for families having financial difficulties.  If you would like more information about this assistance, please contact Karen Sierens at the District Office at 815-445-3101 or simply complete the Lunch Application below and return it to your child’s school.
