We had a fantastic day celebrating our Veterans at all of our Bureau Valley Campuses! I witnessed four different celebrations, and our students, staff, and communities took our Unity, Excellence, and Pride to an elite level! A special thank you to our Veterans for your service!
The BV Elementary schools held programs today to honor our Veterans. The students performed songs, recited poems, and recognized our Veterans and active service men and women and thanked them for their service to our country. Thank you to our guest speakers who joined us today!
Izabel Wallace, Krysten Walowski, and Alaina Wasilewski presented their Voice of Democracy speeches during the Bureau Valley High School Veterans' Day program this morning. Wonderful job!
Happy Veterans Day from Bureau Valley! We had a great turnout this morning at our High School Program. The program started off with a welcome from BVHS Principal, Mr. Price, and the Pledge of Allegiance led by the Junior High Student Council President, Aiden Litherland. The Band and Choir performed several patriotic pieces and the poem "11th Hour, 11th Day, 11th Month" was recited by High School Student Council President, Camryn York. Three students gave Voice of Democracy speeches and our Student Council put together a multimedia presentation. The program was concluded with a tribute to local veterans and active duty military personnel. Kaleb Workman played tabs following a brief moment of silence. Alaina Wasilewski, Student Council Vice President, gave the closing remarks. Thank you to all Veterans and active duty Military for your service!

Congratulations to Glenda Klingenberg for being selected to receive a Three Rivers Athletic Conference Lifetime Pass. She had recently been nominated for all her years of support to our athletic teams and we are thrilled that she was selected to receive this!
The transportation department was also recognized at last night's board meeting in honor of Bus Safety Month. Our transportation staff has been busy providing bus safety demonstrations and drills to all BV students this month. Thank you, to all members of our transportation team for everything you do on a daily basis to get our kids safely where they need to be. We appreciate all you do!
