This year's Honor Roll Field Trip was a SUCCESS! Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade who earned honor roll status all four quarters were rewarded with a trip to Malibu Jack's Indoor Theme Park.

The embryology unit in Ms. Bitting's
third grade was a huge success this year.
8th grade Egg Drop - We had many students who were able to successfully complete this challenge!!! We dropped both in the classroom and then from the top of the stadium bleachers. Great job to all!!

The Manlius third grades recently spent a day at Wildlife Prairie Park. It was a beautiful day for a field trip.
6th grade Field Trip to the Challenger Learning Center for the first group was a success. More pictures to follow tomorrow afternoon.
Yesterday BVJH acknowledged all our students' hard work and dedication for their clubs and athletics. We are so proud of all our students participating in so many activities throughout the year. We are looking forward to next year's activities representing Bureau Valley. Go Storm!!

Tomorrow will be our JH extracurricular awards assembly to recognize our students for all their hard work for their clubs and sports.
Mrs. Bell received a free strawberry DNA extraction kit from Mystery Science. The students completed the experiment to extract DNA from a strawberry. They learned about what DNA is and how living things are composed of it.
Mack said farewell to Manlius today for the start of his Summer break. He will miss everyone at BV this summer! ⚡️

Third grade artists learned about the artist Claire West with Mrs. Knapp. They are blending chalk with liquid starch to add color to the sky and ground before they add background, middle-ground, and foreground details with paint.
Thank you Nurse Kristin for ALL that you do for Bureau Valley, we appreciate you SO much! Happy School Nurse Day!! Mrs. Bell's class delivered cookies and handmade cards to her this morning!
HELP! Our Manlius 3-8 Lost & Found is overflowing. Please remind your students to look through it for their belongings. We will be cleaning it out and donating remaining items by Friday 5/10/24.
Our students received their books and prizes Friday and Monday from their BookBlast! We had numerous books given to students and are extremely thankful to our community for all their donations for all our students to receive books for their personal library! Go Storm!
IESA officially posted our BVJH state track qualifiers this morning and we are so excited to support our athletes in the state meet this weekend! Mya Shipp and Keenyn Richter will return in the long jump and 400 meter dash, and will be joined by Autumn Roth in the 800 m run as well as multiple relays! We are really proud of our athletes and coaches in representing BV in the state track meet. Good luck Storm!
Mrs. Bell's class learned about hydroponics. They are growing lettuce using the systems purchased from the BV Foundation grant from last year. They are very excited to see the plants growing.
