
Congratulations to the September BVJH Students of the Month! These students showed a positive influence on the BVJH student body through extraordinary qualities of character, citizenship, service, and leadership.





As 4th grade discusses citizenship this week, we want to thank Mrs. Cindy for coming in to speak to our classes about the process to become a United States citizen. She shared documents and explained the steps she had to complete.


The sixth grade social studies classes used their knowledge of latitude, longitude, continents, and oceans to create balloon globes for display.





The 7th graders made muffins from scratch a few weeks ago











7B making homemade applesauce sauce and learning how to use an immersion blender. The apple sauce was delicious!










JH FOOTBALL UPDATE:
Wednesday night's junior high football game has been moved back to start at 6:00pm due to transportation issues with the visiting school. We are excited to see our Storm at home! GO STORM!

Tonight's junior high football practice has been canceled due to the weather. All football boys please go home after school.

4th grade is studying different types of energy and created "Missing Energy" posters to share with the class. Can you find these energies around you?






It is that time of year again!! Fannie Mae will be going home today with all junior high students. Please support our PTO and Student Council! Orders are due October 6th.


Ms. Haley's 8th grade Character & Career class worked in groups to learn about career clusters. The groups brainstormed which careers belonged to each career cluster as an intro to their career unit.







Bureau Valley students and staff districtwide gave donations to wear hats to school on 9/11. BV raised over $1,200 to be given to our local fire departments. Pictured is BV Manlius administration presenting a check to the Manlius Fire Department. #StormPride

Mrs. Bell's class completed a static electricity activity this week. Does a balloon with static electricity attract salt or pepper?






The softball team came up short tonight in the regional, but there is nothing to hang their heads about! They have improved tremendously this season and we could not be more proud of our Storm!!

8th grade Physical Science students are using scientific inquiry to complete a lab about building and testing a bridge made out of straws and string.
