Softball season will be underway on Monday, July 24th with a start time of 4:00-5:30. There will be a brief parent meeting following practice at the softball diamond. This is a kind reminder to make sure to have an updated physical, the insurance waiver parent agreement, the concussion protocol, and medical permit on file at the school BEFORE the first day of practice. Your daughter will not be allowed to practice without the appropriate paperwork turned into the office. There is a link on the school's website for the paperwork or we will have extra copies at the junior high office at registration time. If you have any questions, please contact Jackie in the office or Ms. Kluck at kkluck@bureauvalley.net

Congratulations to Amy Knapp, our amazingly talented BVJH/BVE Art teacher in Manlius, for having two of her mixed-media pieces accepted into the Illinois Art Education Association 75th Anniversary Exhibition! Her artwork and the artwork of many other talented art educators will be on display from June 22 - July 29 at the Norris Cultural Arts Center in St. Charles. This would make a great day trip for families over the summer! #Stormproud⚡️

A HUGE announcement about our BVJH athletic program! Congratulations to our teams and coaches as we officially are the 2022-2023 Overall Conference Champions. It is a great accomplishment that shows off all of the coaches' and players' hard work throughout all of the seasons. There will be a banner in the Storm Gym this fall to show how proud we are of the entire athletic program! Great job coaches and athletes! Go Storm!!

Mrs. Kuelper’s fifth grade science class created a 3D solar system using circler lids they found around their home. The students were grouped, and they had to order, label, and design their lids to represent the sun and the eight planets in our solar system.

Mrs.DeMay's science class learned about the anatomy and physiology of the frog. The class had a great time dissecting the frog to end the unit! The students had such a great time that some stated that they are interested in the medical profession after this experience!!
