Beautiful day for some football! Our BVJH team kicks off at 10:00 vs the Rockridge Rockets. We will also be recognizing our flag football boys at halftime.

Congratulations to our 6th grade girls basketball team tonight as they beat Streator in the opening round of the Spring Valley tournament 28-4. Great job ladies! 🌩️🌩️
Students in Mrs. Hoyt’s Life Science classes completed an Escape Room challenge about the scientific method. All students were able to complete the challenge within the two days they were given. A few groups just made it right at the final bell.
4th grade showing respect through teamwork skills!
Students in Mrs. Hoyt’s physical science classes have been working on a lab called “Graphing Your Motion.” Students were given a graph and had to know the distance and time it would take to match the graph exactly.
Students in Ms. Crabtree’s class earned an extra recess by meeting their goal of showing respect, responsibility, and safety throughout their school days.
The sixth grade social studies classes used there knowledge of latitude, longitude, continents, and oceans to create balloon globes for display.
7th graders continued their volume lessons with a rainbow lab!
Good luck to our junior high football team as they host Rockridge tomorrow morning at 10:00. We also will be recognizing our 5th/6th grade flag football players at halftime of the game.

Ms. Haley’s 6th grade students practiced being good listeners with a classroom activity. One student had to explain an image displayed on the board while another student tried to draw it without seeing the image.

Third grade artists have been building their observation skills in Art class. Each student used a viewfinder to choose their composition. They drew the large shapes first, and now they are filling in the details. Great work third grade!

Students in Mrs. Kuelper’s fifth grade science class have been learning all about circuits. The students tried different ways to make a circuit work by using a switches, batteries, and lights.
