Important Return to Learn FAQ and Parent Selection Survey has been emailed to all Storm Families.
over 5 years ago, Jason Stabler
In conjunction with the board-approved Return to Learn Plan and fall registration, the administrative team had hoped to send out a form today to give parents the opportunity to choose between the in-person learning plan or full-time remote learning plan.  However, the Illinois State Board of Education released a 103-page update of school recommendations yesterday, which will need to be closely reviewed and considered.  Therefore, we have decided to send out the "Parent Selection" form next week along with an FAQ to assist families with their selections and respond to concerns shared in the community survey emailed earlier this week.  To correspond with this delay, we will extend the deadline to opt into full remote learning beyond the original July 31st deadline to August 5th.

Dear BV Parents/Guardians, While we are still working to determine the circumstances for the beginning of the school year, we would like to help facilitate the registration process to ensure it goes as smoothly as possible. Online registration for the 20/21 school year began on July 9th and Bureau Valley CUSD #340 is still strongly recommending online registration due to the health considerations of all involved. However, there are still certain forms that will need to be printed and either turned in, or mailed, to your child’s school depending on the grade levels of your children. Online registration will stay open until July 31st. In-Person Registration will be structured differently this year due to the health and safety guidelines we are currently under. -In-person registration will be offered by appointment only during the week of July 27th - July 31st in each school building: Wyanet PreK-2, Walnut PreK-5, and Manlius 3-8 and 9-12. -Secretaries will be available to set up appointments starting July 20th. Please call each of your children’s buildings to set up an appointment. -Appointment Schedule: Monday, July 27th 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28th 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 29th 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30th 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 31st 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. -Completed forms and fee payments may be dropped off during any of these designated times using a drop box inside the main entrance of each school. Please be sure to drop forms and checks at the building your child attends. As always thank you for your continued understanding and flexibility. Yours in Education, BV Admin Team

Bureau Valley, in conjunction with the Health Department, is strongly encouraging all parents to register online this year! Beginning July 9, 2020, through July 23, 2020, parents may log into their student's Teacherease account and register their student(s) for the 2020-21 school year. Online registration allows parents to pay for fees with a debit or credit card. Some paper forms may be required, depending on the age of the student. Any required paper forms may be dropped off at your student’s building office beginning July 27th. Parents can also pay by check or cash at your student’s building office beginning July 27th. Please contact Karen Sierens at ksierens@bureauvalley.net or 815-445-3101 with questions about applying for Free/Reduced Meals. More information on in-person registration will be shared when the district receives further guidance from the Health Department. Please visit our website, www.bv340.org, for Registration Information. Here you will find the Registration Fees for the 2020-21 school year. There is important information on immunization and health requirements, forms for school physicals and class supply lists.
