Upcoming sports camp opportunities for Bureau Valley
Reminder: Sports Physical Clinic Being Held Tomorrow. A great opportunity for parents to take advantage of!
A sports physical clinic will be held at Bureau Valley High School on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. The schedule is as follows for all incoming: Seniors 4:15 pm, Juniors 4:30pm, Sophomores 4:45 pm, 8th Grade 5:00 pm, 7th Grade 5:15 pm, 5th Grade 5:30 pm. Area doctors are providing the community service for any Bureau Valley student who needs the required sports physical. This clinic is NOT for incoming sixth grade students or incoming freshman students as they need a complete school physical. Students need to sign up and pick up a sports physical packet from the school office. This packet consists of the sports physical form, concussion protocol form, insurance form, IHSA sports medicine form and random drug testing form, and medical permit form. Students MUST bring the completed packet, including a parent’s signature on all forms, and $10.00 the night of the clinic, or bring a parent with them. Sports physical packet forms can also be found on the school website. Note: IHSA and IESA rules do not recognize or accept physicals from chiropractors. If parents or students have any questions, please contact the High School office at 815-445-4004 or Junior High Office at 815-445-2121.
The Board of Education listened to a wonderful presentation from Mrs. Laurie Bitting as she spoke about her 3rd grade class field trip to some local farms. The Board also recognized school nurse Kristin Ledergerber as a Staff Exemplar for all her hard work and dedication to the Bureau Valley District.
