Our 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team is headed to the Regional Championship! 🎉👏
These young athletes have worked hard all season, showing incredible teamwork, determination, and skill. Now, they’re ready to battle it out for a regional championship title against Oglesby Washington!

The 8th graders took on the role of teachers, leading lessons on the Industrial Revolution & Reconstruction. By diving deep into historical events & sharing their knowledge with their classmates, they gained a deeper understanding of the past and its impact on our world today.





Congratulations to our BVE Manlius students who participated in ILMEA All State on Saturday! They were able to sing with the best in the state! Go Storm!






Ms. Bitting's 3rd grade celebrated the 100th day of school with a 100 piece puzzle race, a 100 cup stacking competition, and by thinking about things they would like to accomplish by the time they are 100 years old.

Mrs. Bell's 4th grade had some flying fun today. They flew a paper airplane and wrote sentences with prepositional phrases to describe the flight of the airplane.




Today in Mrs. Kuelper’s science class the students made sun dials. We went outside to test our sun dials. We faced our sun dials north, and it showed the correct time of day.





🌟 Giving Back to Our Furry Friends! 🐾💙 At tonight's volleyball game, our Interact Club will be doing Chuck-A-Duck to make a difference for some of the most lovable members of our communities—Friends of Strays will be receiving all proceeds made from Chuck-A-Duck as well as any donations given! 🐶🐱 This contribution will go towards food, medical care, and ensuring these animals find their forever homes. Ducks will be sold at the gate for $2 and will be thrown in between the 7th and 8th grade games. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supports our mission—whether you buy a duck or donate towards the wonderful cause. Please spread the word of our event as together, we’re creating a kinder world, one paw at a time! 🐾✨


We want to wish a congratulations to Kylie Endress and Peyton Matuszyk who was chosen as our John Ourth winners for this school year. The John Ourth award is sponsored through the Illinois Principal Association and is chosen to honor two exceptional students from Bureau Valley. Students are recommended by their school principals based on, character, citizenship, leadership skills and scholarship as well as possessing the potential to make a difference in the world. These ladies will get to be recognized at the Starved Rock Region Illinois Principal Association John Ourth Student Recognition Breakfast later in February. Congratulations ladies for all your hard work!

Tomorrow night's 7th/8th grade volleyball game has been rescheduled to Monday, January 27th starting at 4:30 in the Storm Gym. 6th grade will still travel to JFK tomorrow night starting at 4:30. Please contact the junior high office with any questions or concerns. Thank you

7th/8th Boys Basketball Game Day Update!
Due to the low temperatures, Oglesby Washington has canceled school tomorrow thus canceling our 7th/8th grade boys basketball game for tomorrow night. The boys will have practice in Walnut after school where transportation will take them to Walnut and bring them back to Manlius at 5:00.
We were able to reschedule the game to Wednesday, January 22nd at Oglesby Washington starting at 5:00. Coach Juhola will be in contact with all parents and please contact Coach Juhola or Ms. Kluck.
