
Exciting volleyball season opener for both Bureau Valley and Princeton tonight at the storm cellar! Game times 5,6,and 7 on the NFHS network. Bureau Valley players received 4 tickets for family members to attend in-person. Parents, grandparents, and immediate family welcome!

Athletic practices for today (March 15th) will continue as schedule. Volleyball will practice from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Football will practice from 4:30-7:00 p.m. All student-athletes and their families are asked to travel safely to and from practice.

BVHS students will not attend WACC on March 15th. We apologize for any the late notice, but felt the need to not go based on last minute road reports. All are reminded to drive safely.

I would like to congratulate the BVHS scholastic bowl team on a fine season. Tonight they won their 1st round regional match vs. Stark County then lost in the 2nd round to eventual regional champion Peru-St.Bede. We are proud of how you represented BVHS all season long!

Saturday our girls and boys basketball teams concluded their basketball season vs.Hall. I am proud that we were able to conduct a safe and successful basketball season. I am excited for Monday to see our student-athletes transition to Spring volleyball and football.

Bureau Valley boys basketball F/S team with an exciting win last night over Kewanee. Varsity boys lost to Kewanee. Congratulations to our senior basketball players, Cheer, and Dance members. Freshman boys basketball outstanding effort today vs. a talented Princeton team.

The F/S girls basketball game scheduled for Saturday, March 6th vs. Hall is cancelled. The varsity girls basketball game scheduled for 2:30 on Saturday, March 6th vs. Hall will still be played but at 1:00! Again the varsity girls game @ Bureau Valley will now start at 1:00!

Special night last night at the storm cellar with some spirited girls basketball, electric performances by our pep band and an entertaining performance by our dance team! Proud of our seniors and their parents, truly a special group!

Freshman boys basketball tough and hard fought game vs. Hall last night. Let’s bounce back on Wednesday @ Kewanee! Reminder Thursday and Friday will be our senior student-athlete and parent recognition night. The recognition will take place between the F/S and Varsity games!

Bureau Valley High School will host Parent-Teacher Conferences from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2nd. Appointments are required for conferences. If you wish to have a conference and don't have an appointment yet, please call the high school office today to set a time.

Spring sports season start dates: Football practice starts Wednesday, March 3rd and Volleyball practice starts Monday, March 8th. Please get the necessary paperwork turned into the office! Email Coach Pistole or Coach DeMay if interested in football or volleyball.

March 1-6 will be a busy basketball week. We play Kewanee and Hall this week. Thursday, March 4th we will have senior recognition for girls basketball, pep band and scholastic bowl. Friday, March 5th we will have senior recognition for boys basketball, cheer and dance.

Mon., March 1st will be an in-person day of learning for Thunder students. Lightning students will learn remotely. All classes will follow the schedule for periods 1-8.
