
The Bureau High School weight room will be open Wednesday night from 5:00-6:15. Athletes lifting should enter through the band room entrance on the NE side of BVHS. Those lifting should have a sports risk consent form with them or on file.

Snow day on Tues., Jan. 26th. No student attendance, remote learning, Co-op, or WACC. Extracurricular activities will also be canceled, unless virtual. At this point, Wed. the 27th will remain in-person for Thunder students and will follow the schedule for periods 1-4.

Due to inclement weather forecasted to move into the area, Bureau Valley High School students will not be attending WACC on Monday, January 25th.
Decisions regarding the rest of the week will be communicated as information develops

Monday, January 25th will be an in-person learning day for Thunder students. Lightning students will learn remotely.

Basketball players MUST have turned in prior to practice a sports physical, sports risk consent form, insurance waiver form, IHSA concussion form and drug compliance form.

BVHS is aware of Region 2's move to Tier 1 mitigations. A review of the effects of this change on academics and extracurriculars is ongoing and will require input and approval from the local health department. A plan to restart athletics will be communicated when approved.

First semester report cards will go out this week.
Lightning students will receive theirs on Mon., Jan. 11th or Tues., Jan. 12th.
Thunder students will receive theirs on Wed., Jan. 13th.
Full-time remote students' print copy will be placed in the mail today.

Second semester begins tomorrow (Jan. 5th) with remote classes from 8-1:00 on Google Meet for periods 1-4. Students should check TeacherEase to check their updated class schedules. Students are also reminded to “Check-in” on TeacherEase for attendance each remote school day.

BVHS students will NOT attend W.A.C.C. on Tuesday, January 5th or Wednesday, January 6th. The next day of attendance at W.A.C.C. will be on Thursday, January 7th.

No school for students on Mon., Jan. 4th, except for students who attend the Whiteside Area Career Center. WACC students will leave at 11:45 a.m. on Monday.
All BVHS students will learn remotely from 8-1:00 on Tues., Jan. 5th through Fri., Jan 8th.

ATTENTION: Mr. Gehm Bureau Valley High School Band and Chorus Instructor would like to announce there will be a Virtual Band and Chorus Winter Concert posted online on Friday, December 18th at 7:00PM. A link to the concert will be provided later this week!

Mr. Schisler's Leadership class raised over $2,000 to purchase, wrap, and distribute 140 Christmas gifts for children in need this holiday season. A financial contribution was also made to the Food Pantry. Joyous and spirited work by Mr. Schisler and our amazing BVHS students!!

BVHS will return to in-person learning tomorrow. Thunder is in-person; Lightning is remote. We’ll follow periods 1-4. Only eligible students will attend WACC on Monday due to the revised schedule. These students will be emailed Mon. morning. It’s also PJ Day for Spirit Week!!
