The child care class has made a website to engage young preschool age children through. Sharing what they are learning and creating activities, reading time and videos, and other things will be posted there. The students are anxious to work with them in this new format. Freshman girls lose tonight at Sterling. After the 1st quarter the girls settled down and played better basketball. Kudos to Coach Wasilewski and Coach Barnett for sticking with it and demanding that the girls compete! The 2nd half was a glimpse of what this group can be!

The December 17th "BVHS Gives Back Day" brought the staff and student body together for fun, service, and charity. Congratulations to the Senior Class for winning the Dodgeball Tournament and Lydia Massa for winning the Just Dance competition.

Special BVHS Dance Team Announcement: The dance team will be competing at the Kewanee Dance Invitational today (Sat, Dec. 18th). The girls are scheduled to dance at 10:33am and 12:07pm. Coach Blake and the girls have worked extremely hard!

Mrs. DeReu’s English classes finished up their graphic essays, which required them to still have elements of a traditional essay for analysis of the texts for their respective classes. Students worked hard, and these are a few of the outstanding ones.

Tues. will be an 8-period semester review day. Wed. will be finals in periods 1, 3, 5, & 7. Thurs. will be finals in periods 2, 4, 6, & 8. Exempt students have been notified by email. WACC students will leave at 11:30 all 5 days. All students will attend school on Mon. and Fri.
Mrs. DeReu’s English 2, English 3, and English 3 Honors classes are working diligently on their graphic essays. These require students to have a title, thesis, supporting points, evidence, and explanations for how the evidence relates to their thesis. Students put creative twists on them by adding color and symbol(s) that contribute to their thesis.
