Storm Pride on Full Display! ⚡🏀
Bureau Valley girls’ basketball battled to the wire in an overtime thriller last night against #10-ranked United, ultimately falling 36-39. Brooke Helms nailed a clutch, game-tying three in the final minute of OT, but a last-second and-one layup sealed the game for United. An incredible effort from our team, despite the loss.
A huge THANK YOU to our Scholastic Bowl and Girls’ Basketball seniors! The support shown last night was truly special, and we are beyond grateful for their dedication and leadership. The Storm family is strong!
Leading Scorers:
Libby Endress – 16 points
Emily Wright – 8 points
JV wrapped up their season with a dominant 43-19 win! Both sophomores stepped up big—Maggie Besler led with 13 points, while Sierrah Taylor added 10.
Next up: Conference tournament and postseason!

The Freshmen game against Putnam County, originally scheduled for February 5th and postponed, will now be played on Wednesday, February 12th, at Putnam County, with a 5:30 tip-off!

Life Skills enjoyed the icy, 2hr. delay day with baking Oreo Cinnamon Rolls. The students worked on following directions, gently hammer to crush the Oreos, and identify the correct measurements to use.

English II Honors students worked on creating collages of their American Dream in preparation for reading The Great Gatsby. Students had to visualize what their future goals are, and how they plan to accomplish those goals. Each collage was put together to create our wall of The American Dream in class, which will stay up throughout The Great Gatsby unit.
