BVHS prepares to celebrate FFA Week!
Tough night this evening for our girls basketball teams at St.Bede Academy. Let’s bounce back tomorrow night at home 5:30/7:00 vs. the same Lady Bruins!
Tomorrow night our boys basketball teams are also in action. Boys travel to the Academy 5:30/7:00! Good luck gentlemen!
Weight lifting this week will now be on Wednesday and Thursday 5:00-6:15!
Freshman basketball game vs Princeton cancelled last Saturday will now be Saturday, March 6th @ BVHS 9:00am BOYS only!
Tentative Scholastic bowl makeup from tonight will be Thursday, Feb. 25 @ Morrison.
Congratulations to Paige Twidell and Regan Cook on their honors at the Regional Poetry Out Loud competition. Paige Twidell earned first place, while Regan Cook was the runner-up. Both will move on to recite their poems at the state level, which will be a virtual competition.
The boys basketball game scheduled for tonight at St.Bede has been cancelled. The game will be rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 18th @ St.Bede 5:30/7:00. More information to come later today on other events cancelled over the past few days that will be rescheduled!

Snow day on Tues., Feb. 16th. No student attendance, remote learning, Co-op, or WACC. Extracurricular activities will also be canceled. At this point, Wed. Feb. 17th will remain in-person for Thunder students and will follow the schedule for periods 1-4.
The BV vs. St.Bede HS girls game scheduled for tonight Monday, Feb. 15th @ St. Bede has been cancelled. The game is rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 17th @ St.Bede 5:30/7:00.

BVHS is proud to recognize Saralyn Elmore and Jackson Lind as recipients of the John Ourth Award, as recognized by the Starved Rock Illinois Principals Association. Congratulations to both seniors on their award and representation of Bureau Valley.
The Bureau Valley boys basketball sophomore and varsity teams both drop games to a talented Princeton group this evening. Excited to see both Storm teams back in action Friday at PHS. Bet we see some high levels of passion and pride on display in the rematch on Friday!

Bureau Valley Girls F/S and Varsity basketball teams both dropped their home opener tonight vs. Princeton. Nice thing about it we will play it again on Thursday night in Princeton! Proud of our girls, they played hard and are sure to make huge improvements going into Thursday!
Due to this week's altered schedule, all WACC students will attend WACC on Wednesday, February, 10th. Please arrive by 11:30 for your health screening before boarding the bus. Students will attend on Thurs. (Feb. 11) too, but have Fri. (Feb. 12) off since WACC & BVHS are closed.

Mon., Feb. 8th will be an in-person day of learning for Thunder students. Lightning students will learn remotely. All classes will follow the schedule for periods 1-4.
The Bureau Valley HOME girls basketball game scheduled for tonight vs. Annawan is cancelled. The Bureau Valley boys basketball AWAY game tonight at Wethersfield will also be cancelled!
Girls play at home Monday vs. Princeton and the Boys will be home Tuesday vs. Princeton.
