The week of November 2-6 all BVHS athletes have the week off. We will have NO open gyms or open weight room. Please use this time away from athletics to improve academically and spend some time with your family. Please enjoy the week off!

I would like to commend our BVHS athletes and coaches for successfully completing the 8 week sports specific Fall Activity Period. We had outstanding attendance and all athletes worked extremely hard. I am thrilled that everyone completed the activity period healthy and safe!
W.A.C.C. Announcement:
On Monday, November 2nd, all W.A.C.C. students will attend as scheduled. In-person students will miss 4th period. Remote learners will report by 11:30 a.m. for their health screenings.

Nov. 2nd will be periods 1-4. Nov. 23rd will be periods 1-4. Nov. 24th will be periods 5-8.
Congratulations to our girls and boys cross country teams on their fine performances today at the Rock Island Alleman Regional. A loaded field today with numerous top girl and boy runners in the state! Many Bureau Valley runners with personal records today! We are proud of you!
Announcement:
A Dance Team Meet and Greet will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 27th in the BVHS auditorium. Bureau Valley high school girls interested in dance should attend this event and meet Mrs. Blake. The event will be from 3:45-5:00. Please enter through the NE band room doors.

Full-time remote students will have their pictures taken between 1:30-3:00 on these dates; please call the high school office to make an appointment.

Congratulations to our girls and boys cross country team on their fine performances last week at Hall and Empire Park! Many PR’s last week and it appears both teams are peaking at the right time! Let’s have a focused week of practice and run our best on Saturday at Regionals!
Monday, Oct. 19th will be an in-person learning day for Lightning students. The Thunder group will learn remotely. Both groups will follow an 8-period schedule.
The next day of in-person learning for the Thunder group is Wednesday, Oct. 21st.
Starting Monday, Oct. 19th the weightroom at BVHS will be open from 4:30-5:30. The weightroom will continue to be open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Monday, Oct. 19th will begin our last phase of Fall Contact here at BVHS! This phase of sport specific instruction will run for 2 weeks.

Oct. 14th is only a school day for all seniors taking the SAT and juniors who signed up for the PSAT. These students must be in their seats by 8:00 a.m. to dominate their tests. Students will be dismissed after testing.
All other grade levels have the day off of school.
G/B Cross Country next week regular scheduled meet at Hall H.S. on Tuesday 4:30 girls race and 5:15 boys race. New meet scheduled on Friday, Oct 16th at Empire Park in Hampton, IL. 4:30 girls race 5:30 boys race vs. Riverdale and Sherrard!
