Mr. Daniel Trone, Bureau Valley High School English teacher and Drama director, has been named a WQAD8 My Favorite Teacher winner!!! He was nominated by student MacKenzye Hodge. Channel 8 will air his recognition on Tuesday, April 25th on Good Morning QC and the 5:00 pm news.

Started today in Auto Shop with a rubber brake line on a GMC truck, then swapped the 56 Chevy for a 55, and now making room for a Mini Cooper.
Students are staying busy and getting some much needed hands-on experience!
Bureau Valley Girls' Basketball is hosting our annual skill camp May 30th through June 2nd at BVHS. All girls interested in basketball are welcome to come.

Resistors are circuit elements used to regulate the amount of current in an electric circuit. In preparation for building circuits, students used the standardized color coding scheme to determine resistance values and then confirmed the resistance using a multimeter.

National Honor Society Seniors selected the TBK Bank Entertainment Center in Bettendorf for their senior field trip. The day started with bowling, laser tag, and arcade/hologate virtual reality and ended with lunch and shakes at Steel Plow Burger Company.

National Honor Society officers present a check for $303 to Erin Rosenthal for "The Store" in Sheffield. This LifeSavings Grant from ImpactLife was received from the blood drive that our NHS sponsored on February 15 at the school. We were happy to help support "The Store."
