Our garden club meets after school
Tuesday afternoons. We found a black swallowtail caterpillar and were able to watch it change into a butterfly. We also picked lots of apples from the apple tree on the playground and cut them up so we can make some applesauce. Gardening is fun and delicious!!

Odyn and Mrs. Spratt visited our classroom on Friday. Mrs. Spratt went over different aspects of dog safety to our students, and she also showed our students the correct way to approach and pet a dog. Odyn did not seem to mind the petting and attention!

Mrs. McMillan came to visit us today for our Ag in the Classroom lesson. Today's lesson and activity focused on the life cycle of a butterfly. Our students were very excited in listening to Mrs. McMillan, and creating their life cycle models!

Thanks to Chief Cox and Officer Winner for helping with our safety drill today.

We look forward to seeing a lot of hats tomorrow in rememberence of 9-11. Please remember your donation as well, any amount is appreciated!

Mrs. Cady's Crew
These students were nominated by their classroom teacher to eat lunch with Mrs Cady. They are perusing excellence! #StormPRIDE

On Monday, September 11th BV students and staff may wear a school appropriate hat to school for a donation. All proceeds will go to our local Fire Departments in remembrance of 9/11.

It's band night! Mr Lancaster and Kidder music will be here to help you select your instrument until 5:30 pm. Please enter the back of the building by the library.

Tomorrow, September 6th will be picture day for BV Walnut! We can't wait to see all the big smiles.
Just a reminder, you may not want to wear all green as sometimes that color blends into the background.
