2nd grade is learning about Christmas around the world. Today they were able to talk with a former exchange student from Norway. She talked about their food traditions, kids physically seeing Santa Christmas Eve, and the need to carry a riffle while outdoors due to polar bears.
Remember we are kicking off spirit week in our PJs tomorrow! Please bring your math books and computers back to school with you too.

Dear Bureau Valley Families,
Starting Wednesday, November 11th Main Street in Walnut will be closed from Walnut Street to 2nd Street. If you normally come from the north, please take a right on West Walnut Street then take a left on 2nd Street and follow it around back to Main Street to come to the school. We anticipate this closure lasting a week. Thank you for your continued flexibility. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the school at 815/379-2900.
We are asking that when dropping students off at school and bus stops everyone in the car have their face mask on prior to rolling down the window to be screened. We appreciate your help in keeping our staff safe.
