Today, students at BV Walnut Elementary who have July through December birthdays received birthday books courtesy of the Walnut Rotary, BVN PTO, and BV Foundation. Special thanks to Carl & Mary Ann VonHolten, David Poust, and Deb Willstead for distributing the books to the kids!
Thanks to PTO for hosting another wonderful event. Grandparents and Games night.

REMINDER: Bureau Valley Schools will be dismissing tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. for a School Improvement Day. There will be no lunch served. (Both AM & PM BV Walnut Elementary PreK students will attend from 8-10:30 a.m. for their Drive-In Movie!)

>PK-2nd Grade - Tuesday, December 17th
>3rd-5th Grade - Thursday, December 19th
Both concerts will held at 6:00 p.m. those evenings in the BVHS Auditorium in Manlius.

Reminder to students to wear red white and blue tomorrow. We will honor our Veterans at 10.

In honor of our Veterans we are collecting items of need. Once we have the needed items they will be boxed and given to Veterans. Please send items with any K-5 student in Walnut.

Due to the forecast we will NOT be going to the nursing home tomorrow for our costume parade. We will however parade around the gym allowing classes to see each others costumes. Our parade will be at approximately 1:30 followed by classroom celebrations.
Our book fair begins this week. Students may shop during their library time and parents may shop during parent/teacher conferences on 11/5 and 11/7. Attached is the website to set up an ewallet account or order books online.

Friday, Oct. 25th Bureau Valley Walnut Elementary celebrated make a difference day. Annie Nichols from the high school came to share her worm knowledge. The high school German Club has been composting for years. Now students in Walnut will have our own bins! We will be recycling.
