Storm Family, We have a positive update to share. We've been notified that construction on Route 40 at the Hennepin Canal Bridge is now expected to be completed by August 13th. That means we will not need to adjust our bus shuttle times after all, and our regular schedule stays in place. One thing to keep on your radar: the Interstate 80 bridge may remain one-way for the foreseeable future. Please plan for some added delay at the lights in that area, especially during the morning and afternoon runs, and give yourselves a little extra time. One more reminder: the Manlius shuttle will resume back at the old elementary site.If you have any questions, please call our Transportation Department at 815-445-2161.Thank you for your patience and flexibility over the past few days. It's a great day to be a part of the Storm.Jason R. Stabler,Superintendent of Bureau Valley SchoolsGo Storm!

In Wyanet, STEAM classes had a visit from Mrs. Wagner's son. Carter is a biochemistry and pre-medicine student at Augustana. Carter talked about chemistry, lab safety, making a hypothesis, and even showed us three experiments! The students asked Carter a lot of great science questions. Carter told us that chemistry is all around us and that we even do chemistry inside our own body every time we breathe!

Mrs. Flowers class enjoyed using multi sensory activities during their ELA centers. One activity was finding and reading the words, sorting them under the correct phonics skill. The other activity included reading the heart words and writing them in the sand.
