Our very own Mr. Price has been recognized by the Illinois Principals Association as this year's Principal of the Year honoree for the Starved Rock Region. Welding students have officially started work on the Ratrod!
Some minor frame repair before Auto students assemble the front A-arms, then back to welding shop for some fab work to fit the air-ride system.

All after-school activities, practices, and events are canceled on Friday, January 23rd.
The Lincoln Trail Conference boys' basketball game against Ridgewood has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 7th. The Sophomore game will begin at 1:00 PM, with the Varsity game to follow.

Wednesday Storm Basketball Recap!
Storm Cellar: Varsity picked up a solid win over a scrappy Mendota team, 53–35! JV battled back after a slow start, cutting a 5–15 first-quarter deficit, but came up just short 34–39. Freshmen earned a big win, 27–8!
Rock Falls High School: Freshmen boyscame away with a 48-46 win against the Rockets!

Students in Western Civ II worked to break down the Age of Absolutism this week by analyzing several absolute monarchs. We compared those rulers to modern authoritarian leaders to evaluate how absolute power in government has changed over time.

BVHS Chess Club is preparing for the postseason in comfort and style. 8 of our members competed in a hard-fought online matchup against Hartem-Lincoln on Wednesday night. Sectionals are in Dunlap on Saturday, January 31st. Go Storm Chess!
Students in History Through Film continue to learn about Jesse Owens and the 1936 Olympic Games by reading Triumph!
Art 3 & Art 4 students are carving bars of soap into sculptures and creating ceramic soap dishes to showcase their finished work!
