The Bureau Valley Cross-Country team competed on their home course in Walnut on Tuesday. The boys team beat Princeton (53), Kewanee (53), Hall (72) and Saint Bede (no score) with a team score of 45. Only Princeton was able to field a full team in the girls race.

The Life Skills class enjoyed their first (of many) shopping trips to Walmart of the school year.
Once we got back we had a dance party with Mr. Bickett. Packer fans chose the song while Bears fans did a silly dance.

Physical Science students begin their study of motion by collecting position and time data for a toy car as it moves along a paper "road." Graphing the data allows the velocity of the car to be determined.

Do you know what temperature to cook meat to? Students in Food Science do!
This week they competed in the Fall 2023 Burger Bash! Teams battled to make the BEST burger with their own original recipe! A prestigious panel of judges (BV Staff Members) selected the champions! The Beef for the burgers was raised and donated by Food Science student, Makaila Craft!

Have you ever thought about the pH of all the different substances you encounter in a day? Agriculturalists all over use pH for activities like testing soil, preserving food, plant health, understanding animal digestion, and so much more! Students in Introduction to Agriculture tested the pH of different household substances to learn a little more about pH!
