Psychology students are studying sensation and perception as part of their Biopsychology unit. This week's labs include those on depth perception, sound localization, difference threshold, and kinesthetic awareness.

Cross-Country took first place in the six-team meet at Baker Park in Kewanee last night. Team scores: BV (1st, 24 points), Kewanee (2nd, 50 points), Rockridge (3rd, 55 points)

BVHS athletics update from Tuesday, Sept. 20th:Varsity boys golf finished in 8th place at the TRAC championship. Low BV individual score on the day was freshman Wyatt Novotny-84.
Congrats to the Varsity and Sophomore volleyball teams on winning tonight at Mendota!

Deputy Winner was able to join the Driver’s Ed. classes the last two days to discuss safe driving following our classroom discussions about impaired driving and distracted driving. His field experience provides students with real content he witnesses on the roadway regularly.



Today we had Eddie Korosa Jr. out to Manlius to play Oktoberfest favorites for our students. If he looks familiar, he is from the movie “Home Alone”. The kids (and adults) had a wonderful time!

BVHS JV Golf results from Monday, Sept.19th:Bureau Valley placed 2nd overall out of 9 teams! Individually Atticus Middleton placed 4th, Logan Philhower placed 6th and Landon Smith placed 12th. Congrats to those 3 individuals for placing in the top 12!

Researchers practicing the scientific method revise their hypotheses as more data becomes available. Chemistry students use the information on checks to tell a story, and then update the story as more information is revealed.




Miss Jacobs Agribusiness class practiced some marketing skills this week by making posters and brochures about the benefits of joining FFA!
