Our 7th Grade Girls Basketball team is playing for a State Championship on Thursday, and we want Storm Fans to have every opportunity to head down and support them! Because of this exciting moment, we’ve adjusted two high school basketball games originally scheduled for Thursday, December 11. Here are the changes:
- Boys Freshmen Basketball @ Wethersfield
- Rescheduled to: December 29
- 5:00 PM at Wethersfield High School
- Girls Freshman Basketball vs. Hall
- Now on: Saturday, December 13
- 9:00 AM in the Storm Cellar
- Boys Freshman Basketball vs. Rock Falls
- Still Saturday, December 13
- 10:15 AM start time (updated from 10:00 AM)

JV hits the court at 6:00 PM, followed by Varsity at 7:30 PM. The girls have been putting in the work, and they’re ready to compete and represent Bureau Valley with Unity, Excellence, and Pride!

Our Sophomore boys went 1–1, dropping their opener to IVC but bouncing back strong with a win over Princeton!
In the Varsity matchup, the Storm battled Princeton all the way into double overtime, coming up just short in a high-powered showdown, 83–86.

The girls took control from the opening tip at Putnam County, jumping out to a 22–4 lead in the 1st quarter. Final: BV 68–20. Total team effort from start to finish!

It was a full night of hoops across all levels as the Storm took on the Newman Comets!
⚡️ Freshmen defeated Newman 57–50
⚡️ Sophomores came up short, falling 30–51.
⚡️ Varsity competed wire-to-wire, ultimately dropping a tough one 48–59.
