In cold and breezy conditions, BVHS sophomore Wyatt Novotny shot 87 on Friday to make the cut and advance to Day 2 of the 1A IHSA State Golf Tournament. Wyatt tees off at 9:24 a.m. on Saturday. Good luck Wyatt!!!
Physics students are busy constructing their Rube Goldberg Machines. They are in the beginning stages of constructing a 20-step process that will accomplish this year's task of putting toothpaste on a toothbrush.

Measurement is a perennial feature of scientific investigations. Here, Chemistry students practice making measurements of various quantities, taking care to record each to the full precision of the instrument used.
Get your candy buckets ready! The Bureau Valley Leadership Class is excited to host year two of our Trunk or Treat event on Saturday October, 28th. Stop by to grab some candy, enjoy the petting zoo, get a coffee, and take part in a few Halloween-themed activities!
As we progress in Strength and Conditioning, our reps are getting lower and weight is getting higher. Students are working on being mentally and physically strong this week. Great spotting is essential!

Handing out our first round of Self-Care Kits to students today. Funded by the School-Based Mental Health Grant, these kits supplied students with items to support their SEL needs.
Physical Science students are studying the relationship between force, mass, and acceleration. By varying the amount of mass added to the cart or hanging over the pulley, the principles underlying Newton's 2nd Law of Motion can be discovered.

Physical Science students are studying compounds and atoms. Here they have done an experiment that uses an electrical current to break down water into hydrogen and oxygen. They have also been creating models of different atoms. These models show the number of protons, neutrons, and electrons in certain elements.
