Senior Theatre students visited the campus of the University of Wisconsin--Madison over the weekend. They toured the campus, met with faculty, and viewed the university's production of "Little Women." They left inspired and ready to dream up an "astonishing" future!

🏀 Thanksgiving Tournament Wrap-Up ⚡️

A big thank you to all the teams, fans, and volunteers who made this year’s Bureau Valley Girls’ Basketball Thanksgiving Tournament a great three-day event!

JV Update:
BV JV battled hard but fell to Riverdale 33–38. Congratulations to Erie-Prophetstown on capturing the JV title.

Varsity Championship:
The Storm came up short in the championship game, falling to a very strong Riverdale team 45–71. We clawed back to single digits multiple times, but their hot shooting proved tough to overcome. Congrats to Riverdale on earning the tournament crown.

All-Tournament Team:
Huge congratulations to Brynley Doty and Libby Endress on being selected to the BV Thanksgiving Tournament All-Tournament Team! Well deserved!

Through hands on investigations and real world applications, biology students have identified signs of life in various ecosystems, observed chemical reactions and physical changes, and monitored plant growth and development. Their work reflects a growing ability to analyze patterns, interpret evidence, and connect classroom concepts to the environment around them.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our tournament last night! The Storm dropped a close battle at the JV level, but bounced back in a big way with a Varsity win! ⚡️

Bureau Valley was proud to send six outstanding student-athletes to today’s IHSA Leadership Conference in Peoria! Nominated by their coaches, these students joined more than 600 leaders from across Illinois to connect, learn, and grow.

Throughout the day, they explored topics like communication, sportsmanship, personal growth mindset, and heard from two incredible keynote speakers who inspired them to lead with purpose.

Proud of our Storm leaders and excited to see the impact they bring back to BV!

Computer Applications students spend the semester exploring a variety of Google Apps. In Google Sheets, they’re introduced to the basics of coding through conditional formatting—a tool that allows them to assign colors to numbers and create unique pixel-style images. After mastering Google’s suite of applications, students will transition to learning how to navigate and use Microsoft Office programs effectively

Consumer Education students just wrapped up their tax unit. To apply what they learned, students used mock personal information to practice completing the W-4, W-2, and 1040 tax forms.

The Child Care students can't wait to see your little turkeys on Friday!

Interact Club's Little Library is up! Stop by the Gathering Place in Wyanet and grab a book. With a very successful book drive from the community and BV340 District we have plenty to fill it with, so get reading!
