Giddy up 🤠 or Hang loose 🤙🏼 Homecoming week continues with Wild West vs West Coast. From cowboy hats to beach vibes, students brought the spirit and creativity once again. Freshmen lassoed the win for today's theme with a close 33 to 32 over the Seniors! Way to represent!

Join us in celebrating Wyatt Novotny, who officially qualified for the IHSA State Golf Tournament! Wyatt’s hard work, consistency, and competitive drive have earned him a spot among the best golfers in the state, and the entire Bureau Valley Storm Family couldn’t be prouder!

We’ll send him off with plenty of Storm support on Thursday, 10/09/2025 at 7:50 AM in the BVHS Commons before he heads out for his practice round.

Wyatt’s official tee time is Friday at 10:36 AM, and we can’t wait to cheer him on as he represents Bureau Valley with class, confidence, and Storm pride.

Our High School Child Care students brought the spirit of autumn to life with their September bulletin boards. Their thoughtful design highlights both creativity and teamwork, enriching the school community’s environment.

The Bureau Valley High School Band is invited to perform at Chicago Symphony Center on Tuesday, December 23rd prior to and during the intermission of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. performance! We are so excited to have this opportunity again! #bvmusic

📍 Lincoln Trail Conference Volleyball Recap @ Stark County

Our Storm Volleyball squads traveled to Wyoming last night for a LTC battle vs. the Rebels!

- Freshmen stormed the court with a dominant 21-12, 21-14 win!
- JV battled through a close match, pulling off a strong 26-24, 25-20 victory!
- Varsity fought hard but came up short in straight sets, 17-25, 22-25.

Back in action in the Storm Cellar on Wednesday for a LTC match vs. United!

Bureau Valley High School 2025 Homecoming Week:
The week of October 6th will be Homecoming week at Bureau Valley High School. The public is welcome to attend the parade, pep rally, and powderpuff game on Thursday and come out to support the Storm football boys on Friday!

2025 Homecoming Court:
Freshmen: Lucas Warkins & Bailey McDermott
Sophomores: Lainey Sanders & Eric VanLanduit
Juniors: Emily Spencer & Alex Gallardo
Senior Girls: Camryn Hill, Abby Jamison, Emily Wright
Senior Boys: Gus Anderson, Jacob Bolin, Brandon Carrington

Each day of the week will have a theme. Themes are:
Monday: Pajama Day
Tuesday: Disney Day
Wednesday: Wild West vs. West Coast
Thursday: Pink Out
Friday: “STORM PRIDE”

Thursday, October 9th:
- Speed Floats: Each class, organization, club, team will have the challenge of putting together a float immediately after school Thursday. Participants will provide the hay rack, truck, etc. The winning float will be recognized Friday night.
-Parade from Manlius Lutheran Church ending at BVHS football field.
-Line up begins at 5:30 pm
-Parade starts at 6:00 pm
-A pep rally and bonfire (pending fire restrictions and weather) will be held on the football field following the parade

Friday, October 10th:
-2:00 Pep rally in the gym.
-7:00 Football game Friday night against Illini West

Saturday, October 11th:
Homecoming Dance begins at 7:00 ends at 10:00
