🌱 Intro to Ag students are digging into their soil unit! This week, they kicked things off by learning about different mineral sizes like gravel, sand, silt, and clay. Students conducted a hands-on lab to observe these soil particles up close—check out their awesome results! 🔬🌱
🥗🍳 Food Science students are diving into USDA's MyPlate and the importance of balanced meals! 🍽️ This week, they put their knowledge into practice by creating nutritious breakfasts, making sure to include all the key food groups—protein, dairy, vegetables, fruit, and grains! 🌾🍎
Ag Mechanics is finally in the shop! They have started to tear down their small engines and will rebuild them by the end of the semester. The kids are loving the hands-on application of the things we have been learning in the classroom!

Ag View FS has once again demonstrated its incredible commitment to our school district by making a generous donation to Bureau Valley! This donation comes from the successful Fuel Your Future campaign at the Manlius Fast Stop. We were thrilled to have Dave Horras, AG View FS General Manager, Dan Schoff, Walnut Plant Crop Specialist, & Justin Doty, Manlius Plant Propane Sales and Delivery, with us at our football game against Knoxville to present the Bureau Valley School District with a $2000.00 check, bringing the total from this program to over $10,000.00! Bureau Valley School District is proud to team up with Ag View FS and would like to thank everyone who continuously supports them and this program! Reminder: applications for Fuel 24 cards can be picked up at the Manlius location!

Child Care students had their first day with the Tiny Twisters. To say the high schoolers had fun would be an understatement!

Honors communication students had the privilege of having an accomplished speaker be a guest reader and demonstrate the impact of vocalics in public address. Mr. Price delivered a delightful performance that thoroughly entertained and engaged the students.

🎉 Leadership Tailgate, Pink Out, Football, & more! 🎉 Join us for an exciting night at Storm Stadium! We’ve got 50/50 raffles, bake sales, and more—all in support of the Believe Foundation. 🏈 Bureau Valley vs. Knoxville varsity football kicks off at 7 PM! #TAKECOVER

🦁🌧️ The Pre-Vet and Zoology students took on Brookfield Zoo this week! 🐾 Despite the weather, they explored the animal kingdom in action, applying what they've learned in class to real-world observations. From wildlife behavior to veterinary insights, it was a day full of adventure and learning! 🐘🔬

🌱 Exciting news from our Introduction to Agriculture class! 🌱 Our students have just launched their Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE)! 🚜✨ SAEs give students the chance to apply their learning in real-world settings, developing hands-on skills outside the classroom. From raising livestock to exploring agribusiness, these projects are all about growth beyond the school day.
💡 Check out the amazing SAEs our students have planned!

Are high schoolers normal? The students in the BVHS statistics class are on a journey to find out! They're really enjoying the project and are feeling a bit SAD as we wrap things up.

Natural Resources is currently learning how to measure and score deer antlers! A huge thank you goes out to William Miller and Konner Green for bringing in antlers for the class to practice on!

Math 2 students were working hard reviewing factoring polynomials for their test tomorrow

World History students have been busy this week! It's only Thursday and already they've tackled four primary sources from ranging 410 to 2015. Conversations around a modern terrorist attack, an ancient barbarian seige, and the beginnings of the Atlantic Slave trade, all reflect an effort to understand where the line gets drawn between those who are civilized and those who history labels as "barbarians."
