🚨 Important Safety Update for Parents 🚨
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We want to inform you of an incident that occurred today at our Manlius Campus. As a precautionary measure, all students and staff were safely evacuated due to unusually high readings of carbon dioxide detected in our building. The safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priorities.
Emergency services were immediately contacted, and professionals are currently assessing the situation. We are working closely with them to ensure that the building is safe before anyone re-enters.
Please be assured that all students are safe accounted for and dismissed normally. Brainstorm students have been relocated to the Central Office where they will continue normal programming.
We will provide further updates as soon as more information is available. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in ensuring the safety of our school community.

Odyn is in the house wishing everyone a Gobble till ya Waddle kind of Thanksgiving! ♥️🦃

We've been investigating pumpkins in the month of October. We measured the circumference of the pumpkin, counted its vertical lines, weighed it and discussed different types of scales and then, we finally got to carve it. We voted on what type of face to carve and a glad face won. We did get creative with our shapes and used a circle, square and a triangle for the eyes and nose. Some of the kids loved touching the pulp while others were not so excited about the sliminess. We all enjoyed the jack-o-lantern 🎃 though when it was done.

Our Beginning band members took advantage of extra time to practice during recess. They are determined to grow! So proud of their determination and progress!

This week the speech students have been practicing their goals while making turkeys.

It is National STEM Day today. To celebrate this in McCauley's science class, third graders are working on building a bridge. They are allowed to only use glue and Q-Tips.

One of our very own 3rd graders was inspired by our Drama Module in reading, that he created his own Thanksgiving play for his fellow classmates to perform! It had props, costumes, sound effects, backdrops, directing, and dialogue! Very entertaining! #UnityExcellencePride

Some snow and sunshine brought many smiles to Walnut's 4th grade students

Mrs Krug's 3rd grade class has been given the STEM challenge to build a "bine bridge" using only liquid glue and QTips.

3rd grade has been learning about the Elements of Drama. They were excited to be able to practice those skills and act out one of the fun plays they have been reading, and they did great!

Our 3rd graders got to participate in an obstacle course created by Mr. Juhola! This was an amazing incentive for our students, as they continue to be Safe, Responsible, and Respectful! All our 3rd graders got to participate! Great job everyone, it was fun! #UnityExcellencePride

3rd grade earned their Incentive today for their excellent work at being Safe, Responsible, and Respectful at school. They sure had a lot of fun!

2nd grade enjoyed the obstacle course Mr. Juhola set up for our monthly incentive! It was great to see them all cheering each other on!

Mrs. Krug's 3rd grade Math class spent some time outside to discover multiplication and division in nature! They had fun finding objects in nature and breaking them apart into equal groups, then writing the equations that go along with it.

Thank you Mr. Stabler for coming in to read to Mrs. Monier's 2 grade class! The students really enjoyed it!

Adalynn is Mrs. Henegar's Student of the Month for November! Adalynn is a very hard worker. You can always count on her to give her best effort. She is kind to her classmates and respectful towards the staff. Way to go, Adalynn!
