
The Wyanet Raymond A Sapp Memorial Township Library is hosting a summer program this week, "How Your Garden Grows". On Wednesday, July 12th at 9:30am they will read about Fairy Gardens for K-2 and at 1:30pm for 3rd-5th. On Thursday, July 13th your PreK child can join Paint Twirl at 9:30am.

The Wyanet Raymond A Sapp Memorial Township Library is hosting a summer program this week, "ABC of Animals". On Wednesday, June 14th at 9:30am the "ABC Animal" will be bees for K-2nd and at 1:30pm Canines for 3rd-5th. On Thursday, June 15th at 9:30am Pre-K will learn about Alpacas.

Our last 3 days of school are very full of outdoor fun! Please apply sunscreen to your child before they come to school.

BVWME PTO will be hosting a cookout/ “Beach Day'' for Pre-K-2nd grade on Wednesday, May 24th. Pre-K students will be required to bring one adult to attend the splash day from 10:45am-12pm . Lunch will be provided for each Pre-K student and their one adult.
Please remember to send lunch with your K-2 child on May 24th if you did not sign your child up for the lunch that PTO is providing. All students need to bring an extra set of clothes (including undergarments), shoes, and a towel to school. K-2nd grade items need to be brought to school by Monday. Pre-K please bring items on Beach Day. Any sunscreen should be applied before coming to school. PTO will be providing buckets and sponges for our water fun. We ask that students do not bring water guns of any kind or wear flip flops on this day. After your student’s designated water time, they will have an opportunity to change into the clothes they brought to school.

The Didoughs Pretzel Truck will be in front of BV Wyanet Elementary this Friday, May 19th. They will be open for business after the Spring Sing for anyone attending who would like to purchase a pretzel or lemonade. The truck will be open to the public starting at 11:30pm.

Time for Spring Sings is quickly approaching.
The Spring Sing is tomorrow, Friday, May 19th at 10:00 am in the Wyanet Gym. The doors will open at 9:45 am. This is an SIP day with an 11:00 dismissal. Our concert is a Hawaiian Beach Party. Students will be asked to dress in beach clothes but no swimsuits. The tie-dye shirts they just made would look great at this program.

Mrs. Klingenberg's class has been learning about all different kinds of community helpers! Wyanet Firefighter Adam brought a vehicle for the class to see, walk through, and learn about!




Mrs. Flowers class enjoyed their field trip to the Quad City Botanical Garden. We had a blast learning more about the rainforest and planting our own Parlor Palm to take home!








Kindergarten had a blast at the Niabi Zoo!

The Walnut Rotary and BV Foundation help each child celebrate their birthday by being able to pick a book to keep. Last week, students who have a birthday in January - May were able to pick a book for their birthday.





Please remember to turn in your child's lunch option slip for our Splash into Summer Fun Day by this Friday, May 11th. If you need a need form sent home, please contact the school at 815/699-2251.

There will be no salad option at lunch until Monday, May 8th, 2023. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
