STEAM students heard the story MARTIN'S BIG WORDS. They learned the way we treat each other can build or destroy friendships. They built cup towers using some of Dr. King's big words as a foundation. It was also important to be gentle with their actions or the tower would fall.

Reindeer games in PE!







School will dismiss at 2:00pm on Friday, December 20th for the start of winter break. There is no school December 23rd- January 6th. School will resume on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Enjoy the Holidays!
Mrs. Klingenberg's Kindergarten class had a blast making gingerbread houses!



We had so much fun with Christmas themed STEAM projects! We made symmetrical Christmas trees and engineered fancy new sleighs for Santa!






Bureau Valley Wyanet's Christmas program will be held tonight, December 16th in the High School Auditorium and will start at 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:10 p.m. Students are asked to be there at 6:20 p.m. at their assigned classroom down the hallway closest to the high school office. Please have your student in their assigned classroom by 6:20 p.m. so that the concert can start on time.
After the concert has concluded, we ask that all attending the concert wait until all students have exited the auditorium before parents pick up your child from their assigned classroom.

In STEAM, Mrs. Wagner's students engineered bridges they thought would be strong enough for the Polar Express to cross. We learned about different kinds of bridges that are built for different kinds of jobs.

On Friday, December 13th, K-2nd grade will be visiting the residents at Liberty Village in Princeton to spread some Christmas cheer! We will leave at 11:50am and return to school around 1:00pm.
We finished a Stick Together poster this week...reminding us all to Be Kind!

With Thanksgiving approaching, Mrs. Wagner's STEAM students made turkey traps afer hearing the story HOW TO CATCH A TURKEY by Adam Walkace. Its always fun to see their creativity at work!







Mrs. Flowers class wrapped up their Thanksgiving Unit in Social Studies. The students made their own Mayflower ships. Then, they tested them to see if their ship would sink or float. Lastly, we filled them with cargo to see how much it could hold!



On Tuesday, November 26th, we will have a 2:00pm dismissal for the start of our Thanksgiving break. There is no school on Wednesday, November 27th, Thursday, November 28th, or Friday, November 29th. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
This week kindergarten read "Duck For President". They learned about elections and the process of voting. To end their week, they held an election of their own. Duck won by a landslide!!
