Students in Miss Johnston's Food Science class have been learning about the USDA MyPlate. Students made their own meal following the MyPlate guidelines with omelettes, strawberries, and wheat toast.

BVHS student-athlete announcement: Congratulations to Nevin Bolin on signing to play football next year at the University of St. Francis.


BVHS freshman boys basketball team will not be traveling to Newman tonight for their 3rd place tournament game. A makeup date is TBD. Coach Jamison will notify freshman players IF the 3rd place game will be made up.

The Princeton class 2A girls regional basketball championship and 3 point shooting competition scheduled for tonight Thursday, Feb. 17th will be postponed to tomorrow night Friday, Feb. 18th. The same time schedule will be followed! Good luck to our BV girls 3 point shooters!

The National Honor Society hosted a successful blood drive today partnering with ImpactLife.




ATTENTION STORM FANS: Saturday, Feb. 19th BVHS will be hosting a Quarterfinal Regional Boys Basketball game vs. Mendota. This regional game will start at 5:00. This is an IHSA postseason event so NO passes will be accepted. Admission will be $5.00 for everyone!

Students in 4th hour Leadership class are practicing skills needed to interview leaders of their choice that have had an impact on their lives.



Students take lessons from the classroom wherever they go—including the stage, where they apply speaking, listening, math, and sewing to their preparation for Shrek the Musical. All the work comes together for the show on March 11th, 12th, and 13th!



Students in Mrs. Roth’s Public Speaking class practice their active listening skills and present demonstration speeches.



Psychology I students completed phase one of their sensation and percpetion labs, testing things like auditory acuity, difference threshold, and absolute threshold as part of their unit on Biopsychology.




Mr. Schultz’s Anatomy and Physiology students are learning about the muscular system while exploring similar structures in chicken wings.





The best kind of valentines are math valentines!


Ag Mech 2 is working on learning residential wiring. It's electrifying!


Spanish 1 working hard on their family packets! Ask them how to say certain family members in Spanish to help them prep for their upcoming vocab quiz!


Students have been busy practicing their skills on the pottery wheel in Ceramics 2!




In honor of Valentine’s Day coming up and learning about the heart this past week, Adapted PE created their very own hearts out of a ziplock bag! Students had fun testing them out by filling them with air from a straw to portray the heart filling with blood.




BVHS Monday, February 14th Basketball Announcements: Good luck to our girls basketball team tonight, they play Sherrard @ 6:00 at the Princeton 2A Girls Regional. The BV freshman boys basketball team travels to Wethersfield this evening, game time 6:00.
