Last week, English II Honors students participated in a Socratic Seminar covering Of Mice and Men. Students led the discussion completely, coming to the seminar with questions of their own, as well as their answers to pre-determined questions. Socratic Seminars are named after the philosopher, Socrates, who believed there was power in asking questions in order to develop a deeper understanding. Students did a wonderful job delving into Steinbeck's novel and communicating respectfully with their peers.
